Søren Ellegaard
I have worked with the many facets of HR for 25 years. My focus is clear: Colleagues should go home happy – at least four days out of five. Because when we thrive, we perform better. And that is exactly where HR creates real value.
My work is about ensuring that colleagues, managers, teams, and organizations develop and deliver measurable results. I thrive both with the strategic considerations of top management and the practical day-to-day HR tasks – both are crucial to the bottom line. And therefore, also to HR.
The Foundation
My foundation is solid and broad. I have worked as a Senior HR Business Partner, HR Manager, interim HRM, lecturer in HRM and leadership at Executive MBA level – and as an international HR consultant in industries such as food, pharma, and retail.
I have worked with and implemented everything from onboarding, training and development, workplace assessments, and talent programs to change management and AI-driven HR solutions. No matter the task, for me it’s about one thing: Creating tangible results through happy and engaged colleagues.
Working Methods
I work analytically and efficiently with a focus on both wellbeing and performance. I believe in honesty, clarity, positive energy, and strong collaboration – and have a reputation for getting things done.
As both an HR practitioner and Associate Professor in Middlesex University’s Executive MBA programs, I stay sharp on both theory and practice – including the latest HR and leadership tools, including AI in HR.
I have implemented and used a wide range of HR systems, developed international training programs, and worked with leadership and team development across levels and cultures. My international consulting experience and practical HR background give me strong business insight and a direct, down-to-earth approach – which many thankfully appreciate.
Focus on Bottom Line and Happy Colleagues
I have worked in and with many countries – and given talks, workshops, and courses around the world. Whether I’m on a stage in Tokyo or helping a manager with a difficult conversation in Copenhagen, my approach is the same: Curiosity, respect, and focus on results and the bottom line – while making sure everyone goes home happy four days out of five.
